Low carbon steel ball

The 1010/1015 carbon steel balls feature low cost, high hardness, and versatile applications. They exhibit magnetic properties with a ferrite metallographic structure. Commonly used in oily packaging, these balls are typically subjected to electroplating processes such as galvanization, nickel plating, and so on.

Low carbon steel ball, after heat treatment (quenching) to make its hardness can reach hrc50-55, more wear resistant, suitable for  instruments, hardware tools, crafts, bicycles, etc. Without overheat treatment, commonly known as iron ball, hardness is lower, more used for welding, drilling, tapping tooth tapping.

Low carbon steel balls

Material: AISI 1010-1015 (Q235)

Diameter: 1.5mm-50.8mm;

Grade: G100,G200, G500, G1000,G2000 according to ISO, DIN, or AFBMA standard

Process:heat treatment or not

Hardness: HRC50-55 ( after heat treatment)

Application:

  • heat treatment carbon steel balls are used in semi-precision rolling bearing, Furniture rails and caster, drawers slider, locks, oilers, bicycle,  hardware unit,etc.
  • soft unhardened carbon steel balls are mainly used in welding, drilling, tapping tooth tapping.
